The For Jonathan Sake Outreach Team strives to provide the best services possible to members within the Northwest Zone of Haiti. Our program places value on providing a safe environment for all patients to receive the care they deserve and for the parents and caregivers to receive all needed support.
Each and every person is wonderfully and fearfully made in the image of God himself (Psalm 139:14, Genesis 1:27). Each person is special and unique and is treated as such. Each patient and family member is consistently be shown God’s love through our actions and made to feel special while in the care of our staff. Having a child with special needs or an individual experiencing a disability is extremely difficult especially in Haiti. Many parents/caregivers feel hopeless and lost. Many feel they are unable to care for their child or loved one. With the appropriate support and love, families can learn to care for their family members. Our goal that families can find a hope that they never knew possible (Psalm 10:17).
Our center will ALWAYS serve as a place where families can gather and network. It is our belief that parents of children with special needs must be given the opportunity to gain support from and develop relationships with other parents. This is also true for those caring for a child who has experienced an injury or illness resulting in a disability or was born with a disabililty. For this reason, our center will serve as not only a place for children and adults to receive services, but also a place where parents and caregivers can congregate and encourage one another (Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Galatians 6:2). We strive to provide an environment full of hope and faith. Families will hear the gospel and be shown God’s hope, love, grace, and mercy on a daily basis (Romans 5:2-5).
